-Japanese Fencer, Toyoaki Hisakawa and Tomoko Tani went to Athen Paralympic games.


-Japanese Fencer, Toyoaki Hisakawa went to Sydney Paralympic games. He was the first Japanese wheelchair fencer since Tokyo Paralympic games held in 1964.

-World Cup at Lonato, Italy (May 3-7)

JWFA will send 3 fencers (2 men and 1 woman) to the world cup in Italy. Getting the world ranking points is very crucial to the next Paralympic games in Athens, 2004.

-16th Annual Wheelchair Fencing Competition at Hong Kong (May 20)
2 new fencers will compete at Hong Kong this year. Hong Kong Men's team is one of the best in the world.
